Mills Machine Inc. (MMI) was established in 1976 as a general machine-shop to support local factories and industry. MMI started as a tooling shop, and over the years transitioned into a custom machine design and manufacturing business.

MMI started working with a label applicator manufacturer, designing and manufacturing custom solutions for the packaging industry.

MMI began designing our own line of label applicators, and the LabelMill product line was born. The first LabelMill label applicators were DC motor & Stepper motor driven.

MMI out-grew its facility and moved to a newer, larger facility.

Applied for LabelMill Trade Mark, which was issued in 1996.

LabelMill developed a newer and faster line of labelers, using newer brushed servo technology. The LM1501 utilized this brushed servo motor drive and new controls, and these applicators were an industrial work horse. Many companies still use them every day.

Once again, to keep up with rapidly changing technology, LabelMill developed a newer and faster line of labelers (LM1510), using newer, brushless servo technology, faster micro-processors, and a remote operator interface. These applicators set a new standard for the applicator industry. We also released our newest line of fully integrated touch-screen controls and optional Ethernet interface.

June 25th 2014 we had a fire that destroyed our business. The company had a choice to let all the employees go and close the doors, or put our heads down and drive on. So we went to work. We moved our production facility into our warehouse and with careful planning (and extremely long hours), we were only out of production for 1-2 weeks. We started construction of a new, 50% larger facility immediately. We designed, built, and moved into our new facility in 6-1/2 months. Now LabelMill is stronger than ever and poised for our next chapter.

With the new facility in place, it has enabled LabelMill to hire more employees and expand our offering. We have developed and launched a new web site to better connect with our customers, and are busy filling orders while developing new and exciting solutions for the packaging industry. We are excited about future and developing new relationships within our industry.

On January 1, 2017, MMI was purchased by Phillip (the director/general manager) and Lisa Mills, reincorporated, and renamed to MM2.
